Providing high quality education in order to provide students with a fundamental knowledge in forensic and legal sciences for their future careers is very important to us.
Education must follow Johann Peter Frank's principle that “no science should be taught merely through words and pictures alone, if the object of interest can be shown in nature and the assimilation of concepts can be facilitated by the use of the external senses”.
This principle justifies the long and successful tradition of case demonstrations at the Center for Forensic Medicine in Vienna, which has prepared generations of students for their future careers since 1804.
